About us
East Bay Veggie Gardens is a small business, born in response to the visible demand that many residents of the East Bay want to grow their own food but don’t know how to. Phil Cuddeback, owner and founder of East Bay Veggie Gardens, is a farmer and homesteader with over a decade of experience owning and managing organic vegetable farms and growing his own food. Phil has managed up to 10 acres of produce and ran his own farm in Maine for seven years. At Phil’s farm in Maine, he grew over 40 different types of certified organic vegetables and consistently supplied produce for farmers markets, CSA members, restaurants and local grocery stores. As a farmer, Phil understands what it takes to grow beautiful, bountiful produce and a few tricks to do so efficiently and economically. Now, while pursuing a masters degreee in Horticulture and Agronomy from UC Davis, Phil wants to keep his hands in the soil and share his knowledge with his fellow neighbors in the East Bay.
